Hello My Name Is...

Kristen Johnson

K. johnson

I am Mrs. Kristen Johnson, and I am very excited about serving as the Darlington High School Teacher of the Year for the 19-20 school year! I fell in love with DHS while serving as a long term substitute the 14-15 school year, and this will be my fifth full year since then. Since day one, I have felt blessed to be a part of the DHS family, and I am so proud of our Falcon Pride!
I graduated from Coker University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Education. I absolutely loved attending Coker, and I promised then to remain a lifelong learner. While at Coker, I worked in the Writer's Studio, enjoyed being part of two of their Honor's Societies, and traveled with them to Boston to attend the NCTE conference. I also recently earned my Master’s Degree from Coker in Literacy Studies, and I look forward to traveling with Coker to New Orleans this year for the International Literacy Association conference.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and my dog (Warrior), and watching the Carolina Gamecocks!

I look forward to a great year! Go Falcons!
