DARLINGTON, S.C. – Online registration for the 2026-27 school year opens Friday, April 3, 2026, for the Darlington County School District (DCSD). Guided by its commitment to each child, every day, DCSD is ready to welcome the next class of students. Families can register now to take advantage of the district’s strong academic programs and opportunities. Space is still available in the district’s 4K and 5K programs, offering young learners a strong start in DCSD.

DCSD continues to use the Final Forms online registration system, which streamlines the registration process and provides easier records management. The online registration system allows parents of current students to register and upload required documents, including proof of residency, updated records, sports physicals, and certain legal documents. Parents are encouraged to use a desktop, laptop, or tablet to complete the online registration process for easier navigation.

Returning Students:
Returning students will register by clicking the School Registration icon on the district’s website or by clicking the following link: https://sites.google.com/darlington.k12.sc.us/dcsdregistration2026-27/home. If a parent or guardian does not remember their login credentials, prompts such as “forgot your email” or “forgot your password” are available. If an “inactive” message appears, parents should contact their child’s school.

Students who have applied to attend any DCSD magnet program or another school through the district's Expanded School Choice program must first register with their home school during the online registration period.

Parents or guardians who need assistance with registration or obtaining login credentials can call their child’s home school Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the end of the school year. Staff at each school will be available to assist with the registration process.

New Students:
New students, including 4K and 5K students not previously registered, will register by clicking the School Registration icon on the district’s website or by clicking the following link: https://sites.google.com/darlington.k12.sc.us/dcsdregistration2026-27/home. Parents can then create an account and complete the online registration process. Parents and guardians of new students should be prepared to upload .pdf or .jpg files of the materials listed below. Parents who are unable to upload the documents should contact their home school.

Items needed for new student registration:

• Proof of residency – Acceptable documents include a tax notice, landline telephone bill, cable bill connected to the residence, or a utility bill (water, gas, or electricity). Cell phone bills and driver’s licenses are not accepted.
• Immunization record (including 7th-grade Tdap)
• Birth certificate
• (For 4K only) Proof of income or S.C. Healthy Connections Medicaid card

To register a child for 4-year-old kindergarten (4K), the child must be four years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026. A child must turn five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2026, to register for 5-year-old kindergarten (5K). A registration slot for 4K will only be reserved for a child with documented proof of residence and proof of income. Available spaces are limited, and preference is given to students whose families meet state income requirements.

Parents/guardians of new or returning students who need assistance with registration or credentials can call their child's zoned school Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. through the end of the school year. Staff will be on hand to assist with registration questions and answer questions about the school itself. It is recommended that parents use a desktop or laptop computer or a tablet to complete the online registration process for ease of navigation.
