Hello My Name Is...
Debra Wallace
Born and raised in California, I moved to Darlington in 1991 and now call it home. After moving here, I finished my Bachelor's Degree in English Education and Psychology at Coker College in 1995 and earned my Master's Degree in Secondary Education - English from Francis Marion University in 2000. In 2003, I earned National Board Certification in Adolescent and Young Adult English Language Arts and maintained my NBCT certification by earning recertification in 2013.
I became a DHS Falcon in 1999 and have been soaring ever since. Through the years, I have taught a variety of courses: English I, English II, English III, English III Honors, English IV, English IV Honors, AP Literature and Composition, Drama, Speech, Yearbook, and the dual credit college courses English 101 and English 102. In addition to teaching in the English department, I am also the Early College Honors Program Coordinator, and a member of the Leadership Team. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and our dog. I also enjoy participating in church activities, camping, cooking, reading, swimming, doing absolutely nothing, and just hanging out.
If you have any questions about what we are doing in class, about your child's progress or behavior, or would like more information about the Early College Honors Program, please contact me by phone at (843) 398-2796 or email at [email protected].
